RoundPen Session 2

When we invite the horse into a healing role, we begin to learn his language.  

What signs of energetic processing can you identify throughout Chief's first Roundpen Session? 

Watch for:   

▷ Licking 

▷ Chewing

▷ Big, expressive exhales 

▷ Nuzzling 

▷ Social grooming 

▷ The flehmen response (lifting the top lip) 

▷ Moving about the roundpen - notice that Chief almost always moves clockwise 

▷ Approaching his human partner 

▷ Moving away from his human partner 

▷ Standing, holding space 

▷ Lowering his head 

▷ Ear movements 

▷ Blinking 

▷ Head shaking

▷ Stomping a foot 

▷ Tail swishing 

▷ Subtle movements 

▷ Twitching 

▷ Sighs 

▷ ... what else do you see? 

All of these expressions have the potential to give us information about what is going on in a session.  As the session progresses and we become more sensitive and attuned to the healing frequencies, as the human's bioenergetic field comes more into balance, and if we can listen well enough to the body language and energetic language of the horse, we can engage in a session and in relationship with the horse in a whole new way.  From the practitioner perspective, I can gain insights about what my clients need based off of the horse's response that I would never have otherwise had access to.  

Most human participants in sessions so far have been deeply moved by the potential to engage with their horse in this way, moving from doer-ship into receivership, learning and embodying the paradox: there is so much more we can accomplish when we open, showing up without an agenda.
